There's nothing we like better than bigging up a Kiwi who's holding things down on the world stage, and that's exactly what Bret McKenzie is doing.

The Flight Of The Conchords funny man has been putting his musical talents towards composing original songs for movies, most notably The Muppets. And this work has just been rewarded with an Academy Award nomintation, for the song 'Man Or Muppet'.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome that a song like that has an excellent chance of winning the highest award possible in movies. It's a puppet singing. Genius.
